Why You Should Go To A Music Festival
There is no other experience on earth quite like going to a music festival. Seriously, they are such good fun and the atmosphere at these large events is hard to find anywhere else. There’s nothing like jumping in the car with a group of mates, packing the boot with booze and heading off to a festival. If you’ve never been to one before, then you should definitely think about going. We’ve put together an article with a few really good reasons as to why these events are so much fun. Stop thinking about it, and book a ticket!
The Bands
When marketing an event, the line-up is the main weapon in the promoters amour. For the price of one ticket, you’ll potentially get to see hundreds of bands spread over a few days. For this reason, event organizers try their hardest to put on the best selection of bands possible. Many different events specialize in one genre such as dance or rock music, whilst others tend to provide a general mixture of music. Try buying a music magazine or looking online and browsing the various event line-ups. With so many on offer you’re sure to find something that suits your tastes.
More Than Just The Bands
If you just sit in front of the bands all day, you’re probably not going to get the most out of the festival experience. Make sure you get out and explore the rest of the festival as there are many different things that you could find. Performing arts are usually a big part of any festival, so you might get to see some really interesting drama. Also, there are usually lots of different bars, and if you look hard enough you’re sure to find a really cool place to hang out and have a drink.
Camping
Camping at a festival is quite far removed from your traditional camping holiday. There’s a strong emphasis on fun and it’s highly likely that many of your neighbours will be throwing some pretty big parties. Noise can be quite an issue so you certainly should aim to get any decent sleep. Leave the thought of rest aside for a few days and get stuck into some hardcore partying. Just make sure you stay safe and keep your valuables close; if you do that you’ll be fine!
Nighlife
After the bands stop, there is usually many a party to be found. The end of the music is definitely not bed time, it’s more like the start of the evening. Have a good walk around and see what’s going on, there’s usually a wide range of club nights and discos on offer. If you fancy something a bit more free and wild, venture out into the campsites and meet some new people. Just make sure you stay safe and keep your friends close by. If you do this, you’ll have the best time in the world.

Nature At Its Finest
Camping trips provide a good opportunity of experiencing nature and spending time outdoors. Most people who love nature go on them, but we have some family friends who kept telling us how much they hated nature, yet each year they went on several camping trips that lasted for several days.
You might be wondering why, and frankly, so were we. They just shrugged their shoulders when we asked them why they continued going if they hated it so much. We also asked them if we could join them, on special occasions, and see if we can’t make it more fun for them. A simple “no” was all we got from them.
They had also bought this big tent, saying it was very important to have a good tent when going camping. I agreed, but when I told them it was fairly large and would probably be difficult to carry, they just laughed at me. I figured they must know what they are doing, with the large number of trips they’ve gone on.
It turns out they did know what they were doing, as I found out on the next night. They were supposed to leave on one of their camping trips, but I heard them making noise in the hallway. A quick look showed me they were going to the top of the building, instead of exiting it.
a collection of magazines, one sporting the new Zune 8GB review , and a new Zune] for listening to music on the speakers they also had. I praised their player, to let them know I was there.
You should have seen their reaction. They both froze and then started laughing their eyes out, as was I. They told me how this was “their” spot and how relaxing it was. We agreed to share it, and now, on special occasions, two large tents can be seen on top of our building.
