There are plenty of great ways to enjoy the outdoors. Getting out and getting some fresh air is very important and you can go hiking, star gazing, bird watching, camping and more. Just getting out to rake leaves or go for a walk is enough to enjoy the being outside. Many times getting outside is a great way to lift your mood and alter your day.

Hiking and walking is possible anywhere no matter where you live or work. In cities it can be more difficult as you may be limited to green spaces but make the effort and spend part of your day out of doors. Particularly if the weather is great. Even if it is cold you can really enjoy some time outside. Especially if you work indoors throughout the year.

Bird watching can be a lot of fun as there are opportunities throughout the year. If you are just beginning bird watching then joining a group or going with a guide can be a great introduction. You want to equip yourself with good binoculars and appropriate clothing. It is also important that you are quiet when bird watching.

You also do not have to be physical to enjoy the outdoors. Grab a good book, put your headphones in and sit yourself under a tree and enjoy nature at its best. I like to do this in parks and botanic gardens as you can also enjoy people watching at the same time.

Many people like to go outdoors and write in their journal or diary as they become inspired. If you are studying than it can be useful to change your study space as you can absorb more information.

If you are not in the mood for exercise or work then grab your favorite book or journal and find a good tree and plant yourself there for an hour or so. You do not even need to bring something to do, but people watch instead. There is something for everyone with the out of doors.
